John -- it was good to hear from you on the history of that car. I was told a different history --- of the car being from the Mid-west. I bought the car from one of the two brothers in New Mexico. I love the car -- and congratulate you for building a great car. I can runs 10.5 with my son, who is 100 pounds lighter, but I can only get it to 10.6 so I weigh it down and run in the 11.00 class.

Dave its good to see Vitamin C is still out there running. Some of the history needs adjusting. The car was run and build by John Zimmerman and Steve Anderson in the mid 80s.We were running a 70 Cuda 440 6 pack 4 speed Steve was in the need for more speed and was ready to start cutting up the Cuda i could not do it so I went looking for a body to build. Found the 63. It ran Super Street, NHRA #4406 at Albuquerque drag way. 11.70 5600ft. Steve was the driver and I built and tuned it. It was running a 440 6 pack,4 speed Hemi Alum. case & gears by Liberty Trans, Dana 60 4.56 M/W. I found the car in a back yard in Alb, N.M. paid $75.00 big ones. We used two other 63 for parts. I was set to build it to look like Johnny's Little Mayflower that John M. ran in the 60. out of Austin MN. Steve voted Vitamin C for the color and off we went to the Races. The car ran wheels up and handle like a Sunday driver 11.70s I have some photos of the build and the car as we ran it. I moved to Barstow Ca. with my JOB and Steve sold the Car to Two Brothers in Alb. N.M. It's so nice to see the old girl has a good home. One more thing it was Made In The USA. God Bless
